Amazing service and the food is lovely. They have main bar, reasonably priced parking and well-maintained pool. The location is amazing, the stuff is exceptionally pleasant. Can get to the bus station within 5 minutes' walk.

Location ok.
Amenities undergoing long term refurbishment - no prior warning at point of booking. Booked this hotel for pool facility and it should have been specified aware it was closed for some time. Also only one lilft working, making departure problematic.

Lots of goodies for breakfast. Very very good building and airy rooms on the higher floors. What an easy location by the river!

Very impressed with family room on the higher floors. A safe, central heating and an electronic key card were nice. Stunning, easy location just off centre and all the attractions and shopping on foot and the river.

We didn't have breakfast
There was only one thing wrong with the room - the water from the sink smelt like the toilet and we all ended up with a bad stomach, so I don’t know if there is a problem with the plumbing in there.

The front desk crew were amazing. Polite, engaged, helpful, and all around lovely people even in the face of people being not so kind to them for something out of their control. You could not possible ask for better employees.
The elevators were teeny tiny and sometimes slow, but that would not stop me from staying again. As you can tell, I had to stretch to find something I didn’t like.

Room was nice and clean, nice looking hotel.
One of the lifts wasn’t working and it was a struggle to get an empty lift, as a disabled person it was hard to get about. Also the parking wasn’t free it was £15 a night

excellent walking access to york's major attractions
We stayed here last weekend, and I loved how close it was to York's City Walls and the beautiful York Museum Gardens. Plus, it was just a short stroll to delicious dining options like the Garden of India, perfect for winding down after a day of sightseeing.

Breakfast was great - a substantial buffet in a nice location
slightly outside of city centre, but I knew that beforehand so no complaints

Great and location. Staff are very friendly.
Had to pay for parking would of thought it would come with the room. The carper in 104 was disgusting !! Looked like blood that carpet should of been cleaned before letting someone stay in that room
